Lea Bergman
Lea brings an impressive background in coaching, leadership, and youth tennis development to our team. Her passion for the game and dedication to growing the sport at all levels make her a perfect fit for our program. She will be available for lessons all Summer at Holliday Park.
Coach Lea was a 2023 Coaching and Leadership fellow at the United States Tennis Association in Orlando Florida. She is a PTR Level 2 Certified Coach, and has experience both as a coach and as a youth program director. As a University of Wyoming Alum, she has been President of the club tennis team, as well as the National Junior Tennis and Learning Director. In July, she will be coaching the Wyoming National Tennis Team at Clemson University.

Austin Fermelia
"Coach F” brings a wealth of coaching experience and passion for the game to the Wyoming tennis community. A proud graduate of Central High School and the University of Wyoming, Austin has dedicated his career to developing players of all levels across the state. He has served as an assistant coach for both the University of Wyoming and Laramie High School tennis teams, and most recently spent six years as the head coach and athletic director at Poder Academy, where he played a key role in building a strong tennis program.
In recognition of his outstanding work with junior players, Austin was honored as the 2023 USTA Wyoming Developmental Coach of the Year. A fierce competitor on the court as well, he currently holds the title of Wyoming Governors Cup Mixed Doubles Champion.
Austin is known for his energetic coaching style, strategic mindset, and deep commitment to growing the game of tennis in Wyoming
Hailey Mathis-Breitkopf
Hailey Mathis-Breitkopf is a tennis instructor with a remarkable record of success both on and off the court. As a three-time All-State winner and three time Wyoming state champion, Hailey's talent and dedication to the sport are evident.
One of Hailey's most impressive feats is her undefeated high school career, where she has never lost a match. Her consistent excellence and unwavering determination make her a standout in the tennis community.
Now, Hailey brings her passion for the game and her wealth of experience to her role as a tennis instructor. Hailey coaches our Red, Orange, and Green Ball Classes, and our High School Developmental Group. She also teaches private lessons at $40/hr. Rio Barr
Rio Barr is an exceptional young tennis player and dedicated instructor. Currently playing as the #1 singles player for South High School, she has demonstrated impressive skill and commitment to the sport. Rio is the Wyoming Governor's Cup Mixed Doubles Champion and is ranked #1 in Wyoming for both singles and doubles in her age division. Her talent has also taken her to the national stage, where she represented Team Wyoming at the Impact Team Tennis National Championships in Orlando, Florida. As a 12 and under tennis instructor, Rio brings her passion for the game and competitive experience to her students, helping them develop their skills and love for tennis. Nicholas Thornell
Coach Nicholas Thornell is a standout athlete and dedicated mentor with a passion for developing young tennis players. A Wyoming All-State Tennis Player in 2023 and 2024, Nicholas was part of the 2024 Team State Championship and claimed the #3 Doubles State Champion title in 2023 with an undefeated season.
Off the court, Nicholas excels academically with a 4.1 GPA as an AP Scholar and has volunteered with the children’s program at Element Church for over five years. His leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable part of our coaching team. Coach Nick teaches our High Performance Middle School Group, as well as teaches private lessons for $40/hr.
